I had the opportunity of visiting the Sydney Opera House last weekend, I attended a concert there and I must say it was one of the best moments in my life, seeing and touching this piece of architecture was a dream since I was a little kid and the experience of being there was simply sublime. I fell in love with this beautiful city and it's icon, a well known symbol of Australia admired by the whole world.

I just started listening to Mr. Michael Mayo by chance, because he is performing at The Gusman Center in Miami on February 16, 2024. Because it's been 4 years since this was filmed in Sydney, Australia, I'm expecting he is going to be even better, as I think his voice has seasoned to an even better point. Just the fact that he studied while listening to Musicians I adore (Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, and Freddie Hubbard among many), some have passed, but isn't it wonderful we still have their legacy on recorded media. I play Piano, considered a percussive Instrument, but to me a String Instrument. I also play Guitar and Bass and some Percussion Instruments. I'm really excited to be able to hear Mr. Mayo sing in person.

It shows that the Voice is not needed, will only politicise the Original people of Australia. The Original people are the guardians of the land, not the Australian 'government'. The Voice will make the Original people property of the 'government'.

This is sacred culture and spirit in true representation. I’m obsessed with dance and watching this made me so happy to see this culture still alive. 😊 I travelled from Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne then Sydney and sat with the Aboriginal people when they were stuck out on a piece of land making bricks still fighting to regain their culture back in 1989. I went on to travel and found dance anthropology as I danced Scottish folk dance, then modern and tap ending up in the carnival dance. Seeing the children dancing is so important. Love this ❤

What an amazing idea! That's so wonderful to see the acoustic improvements. It's funny how many great halls were built with architecture in mind more than what it would be used for and how the acoustics need to perform.

I think this explains why I've always had such a hard time learning theory. I've only been able to play by ear, even in college, and whenever I tried to learn theory it was always very divorced from the experience of the actual music and what I was hearing

Sydney opera house is an international disgrace it signifies how politicians screw everything up. The original architect got kicked off the project was not paid and had his entire career destroyed. Then other architects cam in and destroyed the project. The whole building should be gutted and turned into a shopping mall and a new opera house theater performing arts center built to modern standards with proper acoustics and proper facilities for the performers etc. It is no wonder that the Australian government can not build nuclear submarines in Australia and can only waste taxpayers money on vanity projects instead of developing proper infrastructure and using the natural resources wisely
